Having worked in the care industry for over 13 years as well as being a foster carer and Shared Lives carer to our local authorities. I’m very passionate that people less fortunate or abled should be able to experience the same as you and I. My philosophy is not what a person can't do, rather what they can do and I will always promote a person having choice and independence. With this belief as my vision in Caring Holidays, I am very driven in making sure our holiday makers have the best holiday experience possible with us.

I am also very conscious that it can be a very daunting time for a person leaving their family, carers and home. A huge amount of trust is needed to know they will be taken care of in a family surrounding and that all their needs will be met. Each stay is carefully planned and tailored to the individual with their abilities, health, safety and interests.

What separates us from these other big companies is that we are very authentic, that personal touch as if your loved one was coming to stay with extended family. I personally like to speak to family or carers so we have a good understanding of their loved one and start to build a good relationship so by the time they holiday with us. We have minimised any anxiety or concerns and our holiday maker is excited to be joining us.

Every holiday is bespoke, I will source as many options as I can to give our holiday makers plenty of choice in activities for their stay. As we like to work in small numbers, we are able to give our full attention to individuals so they feel part of the Caring Holidays family.

As we are a family run business, our small team are familiar faces that our holiday makers enjoy seeing year after year and as the trust is already there, our staff know the individuals and their unique ways. In addition our holiday makers are able to push themselves even more in trying new experiences!

After a successful 13 year career in the Police Force for Northamptonshire Police, I decided that I wanted to follow my dream of living in beautiful Wales. With the extensive work I now do as a life coach, I have the ability to make people see their worth and appreciate life’s beauties. Our holiday makers know they are in safe, capable hands and are able to remain calm in my presence and that is extremely important when encouraging them to try new experiences.

I am also a trained chef that has taken me around the world, which is always a hit when cooking tasty healthy and often portion controlled meals. We like our holiday makers to have an input in choosing their meals when staying with us and will often have keen helpers in the kitchen, wanting to help which adds to their life skills.

My passion for sports, movies, music and life, I’ll always be able to find something in common with our holiday makers and bring them out of their shells. To see personalities grow and new friendships blossom is a great feeling! I’m here to help our holiday makers create the best memories!!
